BIOGRAPHY:
Carolyn has just completed filming "The Vein Within"
by Philip McCarthy in November 2011. She played Lisa
Murphy one of the supporting roles. Carolyn has
recently been cast in the online "Heinz" advertising
video and stills campaign. She previously was the
Principle actor in the Irish Child Line television
appeal. She also played one of the central
characters "Lyndsey" in the short DVD drama
"Unravelling the Ribbon" commissioned by the Irish
Cancer Society. In the summer of 2007 she played the
role of "Edel" a principle character in the Tribeaca
award winning Irish feature film 'Eden' adapted from
Eugene O'Brien's critically acclaimed award-winning
play of the same name. The film was produced by
Samson Films and directed by award winning Declan
Recks.
Carolyn's professional stage career began when she
was cast in the role of "Marta" in 'The Sound of
Music' in March 2004. Seven children were cast out
of 1300 walk on auditions over 7 days. She went on
to perform in professional productions of "Oliver",
"Annie" and most recently played the part of little
"Cosette" in the "Les Miserable" West end musical
which was performed in the Cork Opera House for the
very first time.
Carolyn has a brilliant acting ability, is very
professional and is lucky to look several years
younger than our actual age of sixteen. She is a
member of the Cork Arts Studio (Cork's largest
Dance/Drama Academy) since 2001 and has achieved
distinction in her Lamda and IDTA exams up to Grade
5. She is also a keen horse-rider and is an
exceptional swimmer at all levels
SKILLS
Carolyn is an excellent swimmer, and horse rider and
can also surf.
