BIOGRAPHY:
Diarmuid has plenty of experience in major productions for film,
television and theatre. He will soon be appearing in the role of "Dean"
in 'Prosperity' a new RTE
drama series directed by Lenny Abrahamson. Previously, he played "Cian"
in 'Fair
City' and "Warren Lewis" in 'The Life of C.S. Lewis'. He played the lead role in the
award-winning short film 'Broken Things'
and main roles in two short films for Disney. He was also featured in a
tv commercial for HB
directed by Damien O'Donnell.
His theatre credits include 'Gepetto' in 'Pinocchio' at the Mill Theatre, "Middle Aged
Scrooge / Peter Cratchit" in 'A Christmas Carol'
at the Gate Theatre, "Simon" in 'Three Cheers for Mrs
Butler' (Project Theatre) and "Oliver" in 'Oliver Twist' at
the Gate Theatre. He has recorded voice-over for radio advertisements
and played "Young Mozart" in a radio play for Lyric FM called "Young
Mozart".
He has won numerous awards for acting including 'Best Young Actor' at
the Dublin Film and Music Festival 2003 along with 'Best Overall
Performance' and 'Most Promising Actor' at Feis Matiu. He trained at
the Betty Ann Norton Theatre School and the Gaiety School of Acting,
Dublin and achieved High honours in Grades 1-8 with the London
Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
