2. HOW DO I APPLY? 
We accept talent submissions throughout the year for our annual recruitment session. Applicants must submit a recent photograph of themselves along with a completed application form which can be downloaded from our website here.

3. WHO IS CALLED FOR INTERVIEW? 
Due to the large number of submissions that we receive, it is impossible for us to interview all appliaants. We only call applicants for interview if we are interested in offering them a trial with the agency.
 

4. WHAT HAPPENS AT THE INTERVIEW?
The interview will take the form of a typical audition. On the day, the interviewee will be provided with material and given a certain amount of preparation time before the interview takes place. The material will range depending on the the applicant's age and the types of representation for which they have applied. For example, anyone that has applied for representation as an Actor, will be asked to prepare a section from a screenplay or stage play. Likewise, interviewees that have applied for representation as Voice-Over artists will be given a piece of text from a typical radio commercial. A number of interviewees will have applied for more than 1 type of representation. In this case, they will be asked to prepare at least 1 piece of material for each type of represntation for which they have applied. We will be taking photographs of all interviewees on the day. For this reason, we advise all applicants to make an effort to look their best on the day of the interview. 
 

5. WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE INTERVIEW?
After the interview, a representative will present each interviewee (or parent of the interviewee) with a package containing the terms and conditions of our ‘One Year Trial Agreement’. This may be taken home and reviewed. If the artist decides to accept the terms of the agreement, it should be signed and posted to our office before the deadline.
 

6. WHAT IS THE 'ONE YEAR TRIAL AGREEMENT'?
Although the ‘One Year Trial Agreement’ is not a contract, it means that we would be acting as an agent for the artist for the duration of one year. However, it does not obligate the client to remain with the agency for any period of time or restrict them to a sole agency agreement. By agreeing to the terms and conditions of the ‘One Year Trial Agreement’, the artist gives permission to add their headshot to our website and use their image on any publicity material which may be distributed to casting directors and industry personnell.
 

7. ARE THERE ANY FEES?
We do not charge interview or registration fees for our service. There is, however, a small maintenance fee of 18 euro payable directly to our web design company which covers the cost of your profile page of our website, membership to Screen Artists Network (Ireland’s online casting database) and inclusion in our Client Book and CD-ROM which is distributed free of charge to casting directors, advertising agencies, production companies and commercial photographers in Ireland. This allows us to provide each of clients with a higher level of exposure to industry personnel.
 

9. HOW DO I GET WORK/AUDITIONS?
Generally, casting directors and industry personnel will become familiar with your headshot by browsing our website or Client Book or by searching for talent on Screen Artists Network. If they are interested in auditioning or casting you for a role, they will contact our office. We will then notify the artist with specific details of the appointment.
 

10. AM I GUARANTEED WORK/AUDITIONS?
No. It should be stressed that, due to the nature of the business, it is impossible for us to guarantee work/auditions for all of our clients. In line with the department of trade and industry rulings, no agency can guarantee work for an artist on their books. It is our policy, however, to only accept those that we feel would be excellent candidates for casting personnel and an asset to our agency.
 

11. WHAT HAPPENS IF I AM CAST IN A PRODUCTION?
If you have been successfull at an audition, you will be contacted by our office. We will then negotiate a contract on your behalf and inform you of the relevant details. When working for the Commercial Client (normally a production company) the artist is expected to comply as far as possible with the punctuality and other reasonable requirements of the company and to conduct themselves in a proper and professional manner. 
 

12. HOW DO I GET PAID?
You will be paid by Young Artists Management as soon as we have received payment from the production company and deducted our commission. Usually this happens within a month or so, but please be aware that certain clients can take up to 3 months to settle their accounts.
 

13. WHAT AMOUNT IS THE AGENCY'S COMMISSION?
Our commission ranges from 10% to 20% depending on the type of work undertaken.
 

14. WHAT HAPPENS AT THE END OF THE ONE YEAR TRIAL?
At the end of the one year trial, we will be offering contracts to a number of people that have completed a trial with the agency. We do our best to ensure that no clients are similar in appearance and that they each have something unique to offer.
 

15. WHAT HAPPENS IF I AM OFFERED A CONTRACT?
If you are offered a contract with the agency after completing a 1 year trial, it means that you would be represented by Young Artists Management and no other agency for a minimum period of one year. 
 

16. WHAT HAPPENS IF I AM NOT OFFERED A CONTRACT?
If you are not offered a contract after completing a 1 year trial with the agency, you may still avail of discount membership to Screen Artists Network as a freelance artist. In certain cases, we may renew the ‘One Year Trial Agreement’.
